Hello everyone.

Tonight, coming home, I entered astronomy mono so I mounted the telescope to observe the full moon of July, and later to Jupiter, it begins to lean to the east after midnight. Once

had our satellite in the eye, I tried to get several photos using the projection technique on the eye (the camera lens sits directly on the eyepiece of the telescope, we ...).

After making several shots from different regions, I tried to assemble a mosaic of the moon with them. This is the result, nothing special. (Click to expand a bit different ...)



Before getting to edit the photos, I focused on Jupiter, and I have seen perfectly horizontal bands of its atmosphere and three of its satellites. Photos I've taken and that the technique I use will not get anything in detail, so do not post them:)

Observación Astronómica día 30/6/2010 : ¿qué podremos ver?

Hace ya un tiempo q no puedo sacar el telescopio con calma y en condiciones, además de no poder asistir a las últimas salidas realizadas por Astromenorca y aprender de esta gente. Ya sea por el tiempo q nos ha hecho los últimos meses ( lluvia, nubes, lluvia, nubes... ) o por las labores hogareñas y familiares, creo q mi equipo está empezando a echar telarañas. A ver si ahora q viene el veranito (y antes de q nazca nuestro segundo hijo ;) , puedo desempolvar mi teles. y ponerme to enjoy this fantastic sky q # we Menorca.

- Planets:

- M51: The Whirlpool Galaxy, one of the brightest in our sky, located between the Big Dipper and Hounds.

- M81 Bode's Galaxy and M82 Cigar Galaxy. Both lying between Ursa Major and Ursa Minor (I have q q recognize its position so close to the North Star ... I still have not managed to locate, having q put the telescope in a position almost inhuman for observation ...)

- M3 : One of the brightest globular clusters, with an apparent magnitude of 6.2.

- M13 and M92 : two large globular clusters located in the constellation of Hercules. M13 is also known as "Great Hercules Cluster (image)



- M4: Globular Cluster in the constellation Scorpius. We're a bit south, but I think q be worth a try. It's one of my favorite things because, along with the Andromeda Galaxy, it was my first deep sky object I observed:) Also, next we find Antares, the star brightest of the constellation, also known for its orange color.



- M5: Globular cluster located in Serpens.

bueeeno. It's been a weekend l argo ... "fighting a horrible plague of unicellular algae in my tank [DRAMA ...], but with patience everything is solved, and I can say that for now the battle won (fingers crossed !!!).

several weeks (a couple of months) I noticed a considerable increase of algae in my tank. Solution: Well first is to remove the algae. What I did was connect the output of the filter, a UV lamp that has given me @ goosemenorca (thank you! ;) And I left running 50 hours. Also, I made two partial water changes of about 40% each three days apart. To avoid shocks have added bacteria (commercial packaging liquids) so that no sudden drops in their neighborhood and break the cycle of nitrogen.

- Sombrero Galaxy (M104) : Near the constellation Virgo, to Cuervo.

- Virgo Cluster: A large cluster of galaxies located in the constellation Virgo. We can find the giant M87, M49 , M86 and M84 , among others.

A part of galaxies, we can also see other objects: open clusters and globular clusters. Among them the following:

- M67: Open Cluster in Cancer located, with plenty of stars of different magnitudes.

- M44: Open Cluster located in Cancer, also known as "The Manger."

- M3: Globular cluster to the right of "The Herdsman." It is one of the brightest.

- M13: Globular Cluster in Hercules located. Known as "The Great Hercules Cluster."

- M5: Globular cluster located in Serpens.

- M4 : globular cluster located in Scorpio. We will have to wait past midnight for it to rise a little above the horizon. But it is worth seeing.

There are others but I think these have enough ... do not you think? ;) The night is young ... but we must not abuse ........ , P

From the 01:00 h on the South-East will begin to poke the Milky Way, giving us the opportunity to see another category of objects: nebulae. Here some " pa start."

Green is the color that Google's operating system, called Android . An OS that just over a year has been "eaten" a large market share, appearing large number of devices with the OS installed (mobile phones and portable) and on the heels of the Big Apple with its iPhone OS (not to mention of Symbian or Windows Mobile).

I will not explain how this system works because there are plenty of websites and blogs specializing in the Android world where you can find lots of information (see below list ). But what if I say that has surprised me is his great ability to customize at will, changing their appearance, adding widgets, installing applications in a flash (below talk about it), etc ... And do not tell you if we enter the world of " kitchenettes, where big" chef "( nonprofit developers ) are changing the ROMs for improving their performance and look even more (look for example," cyanogen "or" bgAndroid "one of the most extended ROMs).

Another thing that has attracted much attention is his possibility of "multi-tasking" can have several applications open at once (and if the mobile hardware allows it) to work with them fluently, sailing and Twitter while listening to music and sending an email, etc ...). Internet allows us to create our own source of information, selected according to our tastes and interests.

Well, I will discuss shortly, the numbers speak for themselves. This decrease of 50% of tickets are basically due to the short time that I can dedicate. First things first, folks! ;)

- SOURCES OF TRAFFIC:

· 89.9% through search engines (almost 98% through Google)
· 10.1% direct traffic or through external references

Well , 10% direct traffic is not bad lol. If we consider that in 2,009 the blog has been visited 98,743 times, some 9,800 visits have been intentional (come on, who came to CATx's Blog truth and not have arrived by chance using Google ...:)

When compared with data from the 2008 ... Last year, direct traffic or through referrals accounted for 50% ... If in 2008 there were 44,000 visitors, that means that 22,000 came directly ... compared to the 9,800 of 2009 .... mmm .... This "loss" of frequency of visits will have to study it. Although basically can be due to the considerable decrease of new entries made in the 2,009 (nearly half, as declining direct visits).

Well, there are other data to analyze but are less interesting overall.
