One to One: Change the folder icon to
long time ago I had stopped posting about the matter of changing the appearance of our usb memory. And the truth is that there was not much of what we talk about it, so I guess this is the last contribution made in this regard, except me knowing anything will be helpful for this purpose.
To change the appearance of our usb first we have to have the icon you want to use. That is your job, I do not ask me that Google can find insurance in number of pages with icons ready for download.
already have the icon, we will Desktop.ini file, which we raised in the entry Customizing My USB: Change the text color to folders. I do not remember if I had mentioned, but Desktop.ini serves not only to change the appearance of the root of our memory, but also the folders. To do this we can open Notepad and type the following:
[. ShellClassInfo]
IconFile = carpeta.ico
IconIndex = 0
carpeta.ico Where would be the name or path of icon to use and would IconIndex index of icon As with the icons of the folders in My Documents, My Music, My Pictures and My Videos in Windows that are stored in a. dll with another bunch of icons. If this is not the case let the value to 0
IconIndex Like the entry above, you can change the background color and the name of folders and files. We added some extra lines would be:
[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
IconArea_Image = fondo.jpg
0xCCCCCC
IconArea_Text = [. ShellClassInfo]
IconFile = carpeta.ico
IconIndex = 0 Shayne Tilley
